Positive social impact
Supporting our community is very important to us. As an independent business we’re not legally obliged to have a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, but it’s something everyone within our team is passionate about.
As a business we’ve developed a simple pledge:
To use our skills and time to help young people in our community to make the most of their potential.
Free marketing and creative support
Over the years we’ve donated 1,000s of hours to various causes that we feel passionate about. And every year, we pledge to offer at least 100 hours of our time to support worthy organisations that share our enthusiasm to help young people make the most of their lives.
Here’s a roll-call of the initiatives we’ve had the pleasure to be involved with recently:
40 good things (for 40 years)
To celebrate four decades of brand building, in 2022 we set ourselves the challenge to do 40 good things in our community. But the good work doesn’t stop – we continue to give back and raise money for various charities close to our hearts.
Young Creative Awards (YCA)
The vision for the YCA is to develop and support young creative talent in Nottingham, put young people on the creative map and make the city a world-class creative hub.
We helped to create a business strategy, and developed a diverse, youthful and aspirational brand for the YCA. Since the launch in 2016, the new brand has effectively promoted the awards to stakeholders, partners and young people. It’s also seen a 46% increase in award entries and has attracted more sponsorship too.
Rainbows – Hospice for children and young people
Rainbows is the only one of its kind in the East Midlands. It’s a place where children with life-limiting conditions and their families can find care and support. We’ve helped Rainbows define who they are as a charity and built them a strong brand platform that works for everyone, everywhere.
Kenyan Educational Support (KES)
KES is a great volunteer-run charity which supports education in Kenya. It provides scholarships to significantly disadvantaged bright, pupils and contributes to resources and facilities which assist the education of these students. We donated over 150 hours to transform the brand identity of KES and we created a series of brand assets and comms to help them raise awareness and money. Following the launch of the new brand over £10k was raised in much needed additional funds.
CP Sport
Cerebral Palsy Sport is the country’s leading national disability sports organisation and helps its people reach their sporting potential. We supported CP Sport by developing a marketing campaign ‘Get. Set. Raise’ – aimed to raise awareness and encourage fundraising during March – Cerebral Palsy month.
We love a challenge
We also give up our personal time too. Our team are always looking for ways to raise money for a variety of charities that are personal to them. From baking, running and kayaking to jumping out of perfectly good aeroplanes. We continue to support each other and the charities that are close to our hearts. To-date we’ve raised well over £34K in cash to aid research, buy equipment and help those that need it most.
Here’s just a few of the charities we’ve helped:
- Macmillan
- Alzheimer’s Society
- British Heart Foundation
- British Lung Foundation
- Marie Curie Cancer Care
- RSPCA
- Maggies
- Cancer research UK
- Pancreatic Cancer Research
- The British Red Cross
- Help for Heroes
- Rainbows
