Crafting beautiful, inspirational lifestyle images for House of Rohl - no photography and zero products required
The House of Rohl is the curator of four distinct brassware and sanitaryware brands: Victoria + Albert, Perrin & Rowe, Riobel and Shaws. We were tasked to really demonstrate what these timeless, luxury brands have to collectively offer. Using a blend of interior design skills, planning, art direction and 3D modelling, we created a series of CGIs to showcase their complementary products. Through a variety of inspirational bathrooms and kitchens, we crafted images to showcase the many styles that can be achieved.
Sustainable and effective
No timely and costly room set builds, no waste to landfill, no logistical nightmares and no damaged stock to contend with either. Using highly detailed and accurate modelling combined with photorealistic rendering, we were able to perfectly create a multitude of room sets that featured a variety of locations, architectural styles, décor and product combinations.
From the view through the window to how the lighting perfectly accents the products, every detail is carefully considered.
Ultimate flexibility
Once the room and products are modelled, changes can be cost effectively made to everything from the flooring to the finish and sheen of the individual products. Exteriors, time of day and weather can be changed, even walls and ceilings can be removed to get the right camera angle and the perfect shot.
All in the planning
Just like a traditional photoshoot, we started with mood boards and detailed schematic drawings. This established the right look and feel to complement the various product styles, some uber modern, some more traditional or retro. Each setting took its cues from their curated luxury products and were designed to reflect current market trends.
Providing inspiration worldwide
Buy-in on the concept of The House of Rohl from customers was very strong, not just in the UK but also abroad. The images we produced are now being used to inspire and cross-sell throughout EMEA, via distributors, luxury housebuilders and interior designers. They also informed the style for various room sets built for their exhibition stands at KBB in the UK and Salone del Mobile in Italy.
We were blown away with the quality and realism of the images. Michon has created the lifestyle settings that perfectly represent our target markets and the luxury and style they seek.
