Marmalade of London is a British brand that creates luxury candles and scent solutions for the home. We’ve helped them expand their audience appeal by creating a unique and targeted identity to adorn the packaging and products across their new Wellbeing range. As a result, this beautiful new range has experienced amazing growth and recognition UK-wide and was shortlisted for Gift of the Year 2022.
Creating the right appeal
Marmalade of London wanted to expand their audience reach with a completely new ‘Wellbeing’ range. Although targeting a more discerning audience, the new range had to sit alongside other established products within their outlets.
Each Wellbeing candle is made from 100% soy wax, contains essential oils, has a cotton wick, and is skilfully hand poured and wrapped by artisan candle makers in the UK. Our design and branding reflected the high quality and sophisticated nature of their products with eye catching details, designed to appeal to this new audience.
Elevating the experience
Our creative solution targets a predominantly female audience, and considers the importance of shelf appeal and gifting, whilst elevating the range. Inspiration came from water nymphs taking sanctuary in secret pools. Waterlilies perfectly symbolise innocence, purity, fertility, pleasure, celebration, hope, rebirth, wellness, and peace. They give a nod to the lotus flowers typical of spa products, and a dragonfly became central to the new Wellbeing identity.
Striking just the right tone
The minimal approach gives a high-end look and feel that ensures the candles will complement any modern, stylish home. The powder-coated glass containers carry a stamp of the simplified range identity, and the Marmalade of London branding. A fresh, complementary colour palette was developed to enhance the three fragrances which are designed to Calm, Balance and Energise.
The results have been fantastic. With the new Wellbeing range receiving Highly Commended in the Beauty bath and spa category of Gift of the Year 2022.
